During a recent financial report communication meeting, Wang Chuanfu, the chairman of BYD, unveiled details about the upcoming second-generation blade battery system. A noteworthy feature of the second-generation blade battery is its expected energy density of 190Wh/kg, a notable improvement over the previous 140Wh/kg. Initially introduced with an energy density of 140 Wh/kg, the first-generation blade battery has now been elevated to 150 Wh/kg.

The second-generation blade battery is also set to be more compact and lighter, leading to a reduced power consumption of over 100 kilometers and lower costs associated with the battery pack. This not only promises increased seating space within the cockpit but also facilitates BYD's ongoing efforts to minimize expenses.

Blade batteries have long been synonymous with BYD's new energy vehicles and have become integral to almost all BYD models, establishing industry standards for performance and quality.
